Pickle is a very special little girl... She came
to GEM feeling perky and fine.... When the veterinarian went to do
her Spay, it was discovered that she was a Hermaphrodite (had both sex
organs) and she also bled uncontrollably from the incision for the
surgery. The bleeding was finally controlled.... The vet also
found a large mass near her spleen that was thought to be a tumor....
Blood work was done to be sure she was not a hemophiliac and then x-rays taken.
On August 24th surgery was done... Pickle pulled through with flying
colors and there was no tumor, just an enlarged spleen that was 3 times
the normal size.... Lab tests have confirmed that no cancer
cells are present. Pickle has found her forever home and has been
adopted by her family. Pickle's medical expenses are over $1700.00
and we continue to ask for your kind support.
