The medical name of what is wrong with Toussaint is
Chronic Ulcerative Stomatitis, an immune system malfunction which cause
his body to attack his mouth and gums as plaque forms on his teeth. He
has been on two antibiotics and two other medicines (Niacinamide and
Fish Oil) for 11 weeks, in addition to having his teeth cleaned with
gauze (tooth brushing is too hard on his inflamed gums) twice a day and
having Glyoxide (basically, this is peroxide) applied to his teeth two
times daily. Because his mouth appears to be going into remission now,
the vets are going to reevaluate him at end of July to determine how
many more teeth will have to be extracted. To date his vet bills are
over $500. Do you have it in your help to help this beautiful boy
save his smile.
