Dif is a very special senior.  Dif came to GEM in May of 2003 and it was easy to see he was a very special guy.  His foster mom is already talking about chipping, but Dif has some serious medical issues.   He has a heart condition which makes it very dangerous to use anesthetic for certain medical procedures, like teeth cleaning.  Dif also has severe periodontal disease and has to have the majority of his teeth removed.  In late June 2003 he was placed on heart medication for his irregular heart and just this week, was placed on strong antibiotics to combat the periodontal infection.   Hopefully in two weeks, he will be able to have those teeth removed and return to a "retired" life of luxury.  Dif has found his forever family, YUP, foster mom chipped! Dif's medical expenses to date total over $1200.00 and we continue to ask for your kind support.
