Mixed Harmony

Mixed Harmony was inducted into the Greyhound Hall of Fame in 1970. 

ACHIEVEMENTS:
1947 set course records at both Derby Lane and Sarasota
Retired at age 6 to stud.

Mixed Harmony carries the lines of 6 different Waterloo Cup winners in his pedigree.  Whelped in September of 1944 and owned by J.R.Hodge he had an outstanding racing career and excelled at longer distances he was a top notch runner wherever he ran.  In 1948 he twice beat the fantastic Beach Comber who entered the hall of fame in 1966.  

Mixed harmony's second career as a stud was even more successful as his racing career he produced an amazing number of successful racers and a multitude of dogs who would go on to become successful sires in their own right.  Some decedents of note are Ample Time who went on to produce Venerated, a dog who figures prominently in pedigrees today.  Johnny Leonard, S.S. Jeno, Opposed, Friend Westy, Rooster Cogburn, Westy Whizzer, Downing, L.L. Doug and Great Valor are also son's of Mixed Harmony.  Mixed Harmony also produced some outstanding brood matrons. These included such females as Irish Ruby, Mickey's Queen, and Sweet Thelma. Mixed Harmony maintains one of the most irreproachable names in the greyhound pedigrees today.
