Dutch Bahama


Dutch Bahama was inducted into the Greyhound Hall of Fame in 1990. 

Dutch Bahama had great racing ability and his offspring may earn him the billing as one of the greatest studs that ever lived. Many of his puppies set track records, won stake events and captured numerous other laurels. Allegis was selected as an All-American and was a member of an All-World Team. Swedish Episode also was an All-World Team member.

The name Dutch Bahama appears as a 1985 All-American and Flashy Sir Winner, 1984 captain of the All-America Team and Wonderland 5/16th track record holder. In 1984 and 1985, he won the Taunton-Raynham American Derby.

He placed second in the Greyhound Race of Champions and the Wonderland Derby, and third in the Lincoln,R.I. Derby in 1985. The previous year he also won the Biscayne Irish-American, was third in the Cloverleaf Classic and was a finalist in the Pueblo Puppy Stake.
