Volunteers are what makes everything we do possible.
Without the commitment and sacrifice of the many people involved in
supporting GEM, none of our efforts would have succeeded. You
can help out in many ways: fostering, helping at a meet 'n greet,
going on a GUR, etc. Read below to see the many ways your
help is needed. If you would like to volunteer please contact
one of the coordinators listed below to find out how.

To find out how to become a Foster
Home, contact GEM's Foster Coordinator Helen
Davanzo. Fostering can be one of the best and most rewarding
experiences you will ever have. To watch a greyhound learn about
life outside the racing kennel, explore all of the new surroundings
and blossom into a wonderful pet is something you must experience yourself
to really appreciate. Those first weeks of fostering are extremely
special as a fragile personality emerges, and that once cautious or
shy dog becomes a robust, happy, well adjusted pet who relishes life
with all it's wonders. |
