Devie's Sirus

Sy was fatally injured in a fight after escaping his crate while in foster care.  The type of crate used was a collapsible metal kind that is commonly used to house greyhounds or similar size dogs.  Unfortunately when this type of crate is tipped over the opening for the tray in the bottom is easily spread apart by the dog allowing them to escape.   Sy's loss was devastating not only to his foster family but to GEM as a whole, we will all feel the pain of his loss whenever we see his brother Telly.  This incident is a sad one, however, we have the opportunity to learn a valuable lesson about the type of crates used in our foster homes and make sure something like this never happens again.
