Greyhounds with special needs are more difficult to find just the "right" home for which unfortunately, limits the number of special dogs we can maintain in our program at any given time.
A special needs dog can be one who has Separation Anxiety, is scared of thunder storms, has siezures, has limits to how long he/she can wait to go out to potty, etc, etc . . . these dogs all deserve a chance for happy life too.
Adopters willing to take on the challenge of a special needs dog are wonderful, caring people and they truly do make a difference in the lives of their new family member. For the greyhound who needs what you have to offer, it's the greatest gift they will ever receive. To be loved as they are, for what they are, is what makes them the most special greyhounds of all.
