The sweetest, gentlest grey I've ever
known is gone. Robbie was a hero to so many. Robbie had developed a cough, today
was his second trip to the vet for this. Diagnosis Chylothorax, could be caused
by multiple things, but putting him through a battery of tests to find the cause
wouldn't give him any chance for a cure. They drained a quart of fluid from his
chest cavity and he still was having trouble breathing. We could take him home
for a couple of days but that would be more for us than for him. So we made the
decision to let our navy blue, dirty face, two right-eared baby boy go. Robbie
had been a blood donor at the vet since he came here for retirement and every
tech and vet and secretary who were at work came through one by one to thank him
and say good bye. Robin, Laze and his Aunt Susan were there to hold him as he
crossed the bridge to join Marcie and Peggy.
