"Kid's Anson"

Anson is looking for a special home to foster him for the next 4-6 months. You see Anson has been in several homes over the  last year and often has displayed what we believe is separation anxiety after he settles into the home and bonds with his family.  Anson was  not physically destructive but instead would have accidents in the house  when home alone after anywhere from two weeks to a three months.

Anson cannot be crated or confined in anyway as he  will panic and hurt himself.  GEM wants to work through these issues  with Anson but needs the home willing to do it with him.  He needs a stable foster home where he can stay for the next 4-6 months and work with
 a behaviorist if and when his issues arise again.  His current foster  home has found he thrives on routines and does indeed like the company of  other dogs; there he has yet to display any  of his previous problem  behaviors.

 They feel his best home would be one where there are other  confident dogs and he wouldnąt be home alone more than 3-4 hours a day.    The current foster home will be changing work hours soon and  thus moving elsewhere is in his best interest. Anson is a very sweet dog  who gets along with all of his four legged companions (cats too!) quite  well.  GEM wants to make sure Anson has adjusted to a normal home  life before he becomes available for adoption again which is  why he needs a long term foster right now. However, a foster with intent situation  would be possible for interested adopters.

Anson was adopted on 10/28/2007 by Carol and Rich Gattone.
